Every year, No Kill Colorado supports and adoption event for Just One Day.  This year it will be June 9th 2018 in Canon City Humane Society fo Fremont County and in Pueblo at Steel City Alley Cats Coalition Shelter with Coopers Companions.

June 11, 2001 Nathan Winograd took over as Nathan Winograd took over as director of a high kill shelter in Tompkins County New York. His first day as director was June 11th. From that year forward he created an annual event called Just One Day. The premise of this day is to ask every single shelter nationwide to not kill one healthy or treatable animal for "Just One Day".

 So we celebrate this day by trying to empty the shelter on that day.

The event will run from 10-4.
